Guided by Stars and Tides

tidemione was founded on the understanding that meaningful experiences at sea require both technical competence and genuine appreciation for the maritime environment.

Our Journey

tidemione began in 2018 when a group of experienced sailors recognized a gap in Phuket's charter market. While many operators focused on volume and efficiency, we saw an opportunity to serve those who wanted time on the water to be more than transportation between destinations. We assembled vessels chosen for their stability, comfort, and appropriate scale rather than sheer capacity.

Our name reflects our philosophy. tidemione speaks to the relationship between tides and the places where boats find safe harbor. Just as experienced mariners read tides to navigate safely, we read the needs of our guests to create voyages that match their intentions. Whether someone seeks solitude at dawn, celebration at sunset, or simply time away from shore, we adjust our approach accordingly.

From the beginning, we chose to limit our fleet size. Rather than expanding rapidly, we invested in maintaining three vessels to high standards and developing crew members who understand both seamanship and hospitality. This allows us to know each yacht intimately and to match crew assignments based on the specific nature of each voyage.

Our location in Rassada provides direct access to the Andaman Sea while remaining connected to Phuket's infrastructure. This positioning allows us to depart efficiently while maintaining proper vessel preparation and provisioning. The natural harbor conditions here also mean our boats rest in protected waters between voyages, contributing to their longevity and reliability.

Our Crew

KS

Krit Somboon

Captain & Operations Director

With twenty-two years navigating Thai waters, Krit oversees all vessel operations and crew training. His knowledge of seasonal patterns and local conditions informs route planning across all voyages.

AP

Anong Prasert

Guest Experience Manager

Anong coordinates all guest interactions from initial inquiry through voyage completion. Her attention to preferences and timing ensures each journey aligns with what guests actually seek from their time aboard.

NW

Narong Wattana

Chief Engineer

Narong maintains all mechanical and safety systems across our fleet. His preventive approach and detailed records mean equipment performs reliably when guests are aboard, allowing voyages to proceed as planned.

Standards We Maintain

Maritime Certification

All vessels hold current Thai Marine Department certification. Our captains maintain Master licenses appropriate to vessel size, and deck crew hold required safety and navigation credentials. We complete annual inspections ahead of schedule.

Safety Protocols

Each vessel carries safety equipment exceeding minimum requirements, including EPIRBs, life rafts serviced annually, and comprehensive first aid provisions. Crew members train quarterly on emergency procedures specific to each yacht.

Maintenance Standards

We follow manufacturer-recommended service intervals for all mechanical systems. Engines, navigation electronics, and safety gear receive documented maintenance whether or not issues are apparent. This approach prevents problems rather than reacting to them.

Environmental Care

We use holding tanks for all waste, follow designated anchoring zones to protect coral, and maintain fuel systems to prevent leaks. Crew members monitor for marine life during navigation and adjust routes when large animals are present.

Insurance Coverage

All vessels carry comprehensive marine insurance including passenger liability coverage. This protection extends to all authorized activities during chartered periods, providing proper coverage should unexpected situations arise.

Privacy Practices

Guest information is used only for voyage coordination and safety purposes. We do not share contact details with third parties. Photographic records made for safety documentation remain confidential unless guests specifically request copies.

Our Approach to Yacht Charter

tidemione operates on the principle that people charter yachts for different reasons, and those reasons should shape how voyages unfold. Some guests want active days with multiple snorkel stops and beach visits. Others prefer quiet hours watching horizons shift. We ask questions before suggesting which vessel and itinerary might suit, rather than presenting a single standard option.

Our vessels were chosen to serve specific purposes. The catamaran provides stability for those new to sailing or sensitive to motion. The motor yacht offers covered spaces for families with young children or groups seeking shade. The luxury yacht accommodates overnight guests who want the experience of waking to open water. Each has strengths for particular situations.

Weather influences every voyage, sometimes in ways that become apparent only on the day itself. Our captains make final route decisions based on current conditions rather than rigid plans. If wind patterns suggest an alternative anchorage will be calmer, we adjust. If visibility drops at a planned snorkel site, we move to a backup location. This flexibility requires local knowledge and willingness to prioritize guest comfort over predetermined schedules.

Phuket's waters offer remarkable variety within relatively short distances. Limestone formations create protected bays. Coral reefs support diverse marine life. Open stretches allow for sailing when conditions permit. Shallow areas reveal tidal patterns twice daily. Our route planning considers these elements, matching natural features to what guests hope to experience during their time aboard.
